Your responsibilities

• Build new computational frameworks to combine, integrate and evaluate simulation models of auditory processes with machine learning techniques
• Develop new computational pipelines for sound-to-neural stimulation processes
• Implement and fine-tune state-of-the-art deep learning methods for closed-loop optimisation
• Perform statistical analysis, maintain documentation and use version control
• Prepare peer-reviewed publications and present findings at scientific conferences
• Actively engage and work with other members of the team and collaborators

• Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, bioinformatics, neuroscience, statistics or related field with demonstrated research experience in computational methods
• Expertise in machine learning, in particular deep neural networks
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Matlab
• Strong interest in auditory or speech science and hearing devices
• Experience in computational modelling and simulations is an advantage
• Experience in using high-performance computing platforms is an advantage
• Good communication skills and enthusiasm to work in an interdisciplinary team
