Fabrication Engineer Development of Superconducting Parametric Amplifier Technology

During the project, the successful candidates will be at the forefront of experimental research, both independently and as members of our research teams. You will be part of an international team working on quantum devices at ETH Zürich and EPFL. Each position is initially limited to a term of eighteen months, with potential for extension. All three new team members will contribute to regular team meetings to report on project progress.

• Optimization of the existing fabrication processes at the Center of Micro- and Nanotechnology at EPFL
• Fabrication of next generation devices with optimized recipes

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Hands‑on experience with nanofabrication techniques and processes
• Proficiency in cleanroom protocols and equipment operation
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to develop and optimize fabrication recipes for superconducting devices
• Initiative and creativity in developing new fabrication techniques and processes
• Strong interest in quantum technology based on superconducting quantum circuits
• Proficiency in English, reading, writing, and discussing scientific material
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
