Executive Director - Infrastructure Value Add
ODM Partners has been retained to appoint an Executive Director for an International Infrastructure Investor. The organization is a long-established infrastructure equity platform, managing multiple infrastructure strategies across core through to value-add, with a strong focus on control and co-control investments. The value-add strategy targets small & mid-cap infrastructure businesses with clear levers for growth, including buy-and-build strategies and operational improvement.
The Executive Director will lead the dedicated value-add strategy and sit within the senior leadership team.
- Lead the Value-Add investment strategy, including sector focus and thematic development.
- Originate and evaluate investment opportunities and oversee end-to-end transaction execution across small-mid cap infrastructure opportunities with clear potential for capital growth.
- Provide strategic oversight across the Value-Add portfolio, including active board representation on selected assets. Ensure robust performance monitoring and that portfolio companies perform in line with or ahead of underwriting assumptions.
- Play a central role in fundraising for the current Value-Add fund and for future vehicles.
- Lead and develop a growing investment team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Act as a voting member of the infrastructure equity investment committee.
- Senior infrastructure investment professional with a minimum of 15 years’ relevant experience.
- Demonstrated track record across Core+/Value-Add infrastructure investments, including buy-and-build strategies and hands-on value creation.
- Proven experience as lead investor on small to mid-cap infrastructure platforms.
- Hands-on capability across origination, transaction execution and portfolio governance.
- Broad, generalist infrastructure exposure across multiple sectors.
- Exposure to European markets preferred; OECD experience essential.
- Commercial, autonomous and comfortable operating close to management teams, with strong stakeholder management capability.
- Experience working with third-party capital and institutional investors.
This is an opportunity to join an active investor within a supportive, internationally oriented environment, characterised by a collaborative culture. The platform is well-capitalised and offers a high degree of autonomy. Should you feel your profile is a fit, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Ashley Morris with your CV to discuss further details.
