THE ROLE

We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a multinational food and beverages company in Switzerland. This role is suited for a legal professional with strong experience in labor and employment law particularly within international corporate environments. The successful candidate will partner closely with global HR and Legal teams to support workforce-related legal matters across multiple jurisdictions. This position requires a sound understanding of Swiss and European employment regulations and fluency in both English and French.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise on a wide range of employment law issues across European jurisdictions providing strategic legal input on day-to-day and complex matters
  • Support HR in navigating sensitive workforce matters including workplace conduct, restructurings and dispute resolution strategies.
  • Review and tailor employment contracts, templates and HR policies to reflect local legal requirements and evolving compliance standards.
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of internal guidelines for employment practices ensuring legal alignment with corporate policy across multiple regions.
  • Provide legal support on employee separation processes including negotiated exits and collective processes as applicable.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in labor and employment law and translate them into actionable advice and internal training for stakeholders.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Law degree from a recognized university; bar admission is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in labor and employment law gained in-house or at a reputable law firm.
  • Proven ability to work across jurisdictions and collaborate with international stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills; fluent in English and French (written and spoken);
    German is an asset.
  • Prior exposure to the food and beverages or FMCG sector is advantageous but not essential.
