About This Position

The Office of Institutional Integrity is looking for an active graduate student to be hired as an intern under the Consultant modality.

The 2026 Summer Internship Program is a competitive paid opportunity, based in Headquarters, for university students from member countries to learn about development work and corporate management of the Bank, and to acquire work experience at the professional level through on-the-job learning.

What you’ll do
  • Integrity Risk Data Systematization and Analytics:
    Develop and maintain consolidated databases capturing integrity risks, OII advisory comments, team responses, and formalized risks from project preparation and supervision. Structure the data to enable analysis of recurring risk patterns, typologies, and trends across sectors, instruments, and procurement types.
  • Lessons Learned and Knowledge Repository Development:
    Systematize and categorize lessons learned and recommendations derived from investigations, Integrity Risk Reviews (IRRs), and advisory engagements. Ensure alignment with the Bank’s institutional lessons learned platform (Aurora) and support internal operational learning.
  • Research and Analysis on Supervision-Stage Integrity Risks:
    Support the completion of ongoing analytical work on integrity risks during project execution, including data consolidation, validation, analysis, and the preparation of key findings to inform integrity risk management during supervision.
  • Methodology Development for Integrity Risk Reviews and Portfolio Follow‑Up:
    Contribute to the design and documentation of methodologies for:
    Integrity Risk Reviews (IRRs), including processes, tools, templates, and workflows. Also support portfolio-level integrity risk follow‑up, including criteria to prioritize projects and monitor mitigation measures during implementation.
  • Integrity Knowledge Products and Communication Materials:
    Develop clear, user‑friendly knowledge and communication products (e.g., brochures, slide decks, one‑pagers) to explain key integrity concepts such as due diligence, conflicts of interest, procurement vulnerabilities, reporting channels, and recurrent integrity findings, supporting awareness and capacity building for operational teams.
What you’ll need
  • Education:

    An active graduate student in economics, public policy, law, international development, data analytics, or a related field from an accredited University. The graduation date should be after the Internship period.
  • Languages:

    Fluency in English with a working knowledge of one other Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is a plus.
  • Key

    • Data management and structuring (databases, Excel, repositories)

Requirements
  • Citizenship:
    Be a national of an IDB member country.
  • Active student: enrolled in a graduate (master’s or Ph.D.) program as of the starting date of the internship program. The graduation date should be after the Internship period.
  • Consanguinity:
    Not have family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
  • First job at the IDB Group:
