The technical challenge behind this is massive. Our platform operates across large fleets of edge AI devices deployed globally, processes real-world sensor data in real time, and integrates with complex cloud infrastructure and the global adtech ecosystem.

At the same time, everything we build follows a strict privacy-by-design philosophy. Our systems operate without processing and storing personal data or images, while still enabling the audience intelligence required for real-time performance media. This approach, rooted in Switzerland’s strong privacy culture, has become one of the key reasons global retailers trust Advertima to power their next-generation Retail Media infrastructure.

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Advertima, you will ensure the resilience of a unique hybrid ecosystem. You will manage a fleet of thousands of intelligent edge sensors distributed across three continents (and growing) and the high-availability cloud-native services that power them.

• Maintain Reliability:
  Own SLOs/SLIs for a global IoT fleet and supporting cloud infrastructure.
• Scale Operations:
  Drive the automation and observability required to manage thousands of remote devices efficiently.
• Incident Management:
  Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical systems.
• Edge Resilience:
  Continuously harden IoT devices and edge AI services against real-world failures.
• Collaborative Engineering:
  Partner with development teams to implement monitoring best practices and advise on architectural standards.

• Education:
  
  BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience:
  
  2+ years in SRE, Dev Ops, or Software Engineering with a focus on operations.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in languages like Rust, Python, or Bash.
• Networking:
  Deep understanding of TCP/IP, TLS/SSL, MQTT, and HTTP.
• Observability:
  Proficiency in implementing and managing monitoring stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Infrastructure:
  Hands-on experience operating Linux systems and Kubernetes environments using Infrastructure as Code.
• Communication:
  Fluent English (written and verbal).
