About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the IT Department in Zurich, the IT Supervisor provides additional support to the IT Manager on the day‑to‑day IT support. The IT Supervisor reports to the IT Manager.

As an IT Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Assisting and supporting the IT Manager, colleagues, and hotel guests in the use of the IT infrastructure, IT needs, and requests.
  • Providing day‑to‑day colleague IT support and serving as second‑line guest IT support, including weekend support.
  • Handling the full range of network support and administration services including Windows Server 2012–2016, Hyper‑V, VMware, Windows 10, Cisco, LAN/WAN infrastructure, Office 365, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams.
  • Managing daily IT routine tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely follow‑up on outstanding items.
  • Audio Visual dedicated services & support, including coordination and technical assistance during events.
  • Coordinating and executing preventive maintenance for IT and A/V equipment.
  • Supporting all IT‑related aspects for Meetings & Events, ensuring smooth technical operation.
  • IT Security:
    Participating in the implementation of MOHG security policies and network security standards; supporting cybersecurity and compliance tasks, including security operations follow‑up.
  • Telephone systems support:
    Basic PABX support (troubleshooting, phone replacements, call flow administration, reporting).
  • Managing the maintenance of the hotel’s computer systems, servers, network devices, and telephone infrastructure.
  • Installing workstations, peripherals, and other equipment as required.
  • Supporting IT‑related tasks for Meetings & Events and ensuring smooth technical operation.
As an IT Supervisor, we expect from you:
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in IT support, ideally in upscale hospitality.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 11, Windows Server).
  • Good knowledge of computer and network hardware and software maintenance.
  • Knowledge of iOS and macOS; ideally holding MCSA (Microsoft Certification) or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
  • Knowledge of the latest IT technologies (mobile devices, A/V systems, etc.).
  • Professional and appropriate business appearance and presentation.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Innovative, rigorous, able to work on different projects and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Capability to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
