** About the role
** We are seeking a Technology Lead for Integration to drive the strategic evolution of our enterprise integration landscape, enabling seamless, scalable, and modern data and system interoperability across MS Re. You will own the technical direction of our IDA (Integration Data Architecture) — a platform built on Azure — delivering integration solutions through standardized APIs, event-driven architecture, connectors, and integration  this role, you will oversee the modernization of legacy point-to-point interfaces into structured, reusable integration patterns including Complex APIs, Connector APIs, and Integration Services.

You will play a central role in integrating systems like SICS, Orchestra, ERP/Finance platforms, and modelling tools — ensuring efficient data flow, abstraction where needed, and consistent business object handling across the enterprise.

As Integration Technology Lead, you will work closely with domain technology leads, business stakeholders, development teams, and vendors to define the long-term vision of integration at MS Re. You will ensure performance, security, and governance of integrations, while enabling business agility and digital transformation.
** Your responsibilities
*** Lead the technical strategy and modernization of MS Re’s integration architecture through IDA.
* Define and own the roadmap for integration components:
Data Hubs, Connectors, and Integration Services.
* Oversee the delivery of scalable, event-driven, and API-based integration solutions built on Azure.
* Manage integration between core systems (e.g. SICS, Orchestra, UWB, Oracle Finance) and ensure data alignment, abstraction, and flow consistency.
* Ensure integration solutions meet business needs, non-functional requirements, and comply with regulatory standards (e.g. IFRS 17, Solvency II).
* Collaborate with business and IT teams to standardize data models and integration practices.
* Govern the design and implementation of Connectors and Hubs, and decide when abstraction or local caching is appropriate.
* Define and implement best practices for integration testing, data quality, security, and monitoring.
* Provide technical leadership for integration architecture decisions in agile product teams.
* Partner with external vendors to assess and integrate third-party tools or systems.
* Stay current with emerging technologies in API management, data platforms, Azure services, and real-time messaging.
** Your profile
*** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
* 10+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, Architect, or Senior Engineer in integration-heavy enterprise environments.
* Deep knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, API-first design, messaging systems, and event-driven architectures.
* Hands-on experience with Azure services (Service Bus, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Cosmos DB, etc.).
* Strong technical knowledge of REST APIs, OData, and microservice architecture.
* Familiarity with integration of legacy systems like SICS and complex platforms like Orchestra is a strong plus.
* Experience with abstraction and domain modelling for Data Hubs, and integration orchestration.
* Proven ability to lead agile development and Dev Ops-based delivery.
* Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across business and IT.
* Fluent in English;
German proficiency is a plus.
