Head of Design

Gowago challenges the traditional way of buying and owning a car. Our goal is to become Europe’s most convenient digital mobility platform — where anyone can seamlessly finance, operate, and manage their vehicle.

We’re looking for a Head of Design who enjoys the hard problems and gets energy from solving them hands-on.

You’ll own the end-to-end UX across Gowago and be accountable for design quality from first sketch to shipped product. You’ll work embedded in a cross-functional Product Team as a practising UX/Product Designer, while leading and growing one unified Design Team across product, brand, and marketing design.

You’ll also help keep Gowago visually coherent: product, marketing, and brand should feel like one connected system, not three separate worlds.

• Own UX across Gowago and lead by example as a hands-on designer inside a Product Team
• Lead and grow the Design Team
  , setting direction, quality standards, and actively coaching across different design specialities
• Own Brand & Visual Identity coherence together with the CXO and a specialist creative designer driving visual execution
• Provide design leadership for Marketing Design
  , ensuring campaigns align with product and brand (without owning execution)
• Evolve and steward the design system
  , so teams can move fast without breaking consistency
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and CX to translate strategy into shipped outcomes
• Drive discovery and validation through research, prototyping, and testing to inform decisions
• Ensure a coherent end-to-end experience
  , so the customer journey feels intentional from first ad to long-term ownership
• Raise design maturity across the organisation through standards, rituals, and hands-on leadership

• Senior design leader with strong hands-on product design craft
• Experience owning both product design and brand/visual identity in a meaningful way
• Proven ability to lead and grow small, high-impact teams
• Systems thinker with a sharp eye for detail and quality
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, product-led environment where priorities evolve and outcomes matter

Experience in e-commerce/marketplaces, fintech, or mobility is a plus, but not required.
