Rivia is a data engine for clinical trial intelligence. It provides data infrastructure and AI-driven workflows for clinical trial teams, enabling biotechs to run studies more efficiently and to demonstrate which patients derive the greatest benefit from new therapies. Biopharma companies are the source of most therapeutic innovation, yet clinical development is frequently slowed by fragmented data and outdated tooling. Rivia delivers a real-time, integrated view across clinical trial data, improving both trial execution and the evaluation of new treatments.
Our goal is for Rivia to become the new standard infrastructure for modern drug development, bringing new therapies to market more successfully at a fraction of the cost.
The RoleAs a Senior Product Designer, you will be the architect of how our users interact with complex clinical data. You’ll take ownership of design initiatives from initial concept to final production, transforming intricate data workflows into intuitive, high-impact experiences.
You will work directly with our customers to deeply understand their challenges and validate your designs in real-time. To succeed in this role, you should have a passion for solving deep functional problems and a strategic, analytical mindset. You should be comfortable navigating the uncertainties of a startup environment, adaptable to shifting priorities, and driven to transform the pharmaceutical industry.
Our StackWhile we focus on outcomes over tools, our current workflow involves:
Figma, React, Type Script, and AI-assisted design/prototyping tools. We value designers who understand the medium they are building for. If you can bridge the gap between design and code, you will thrive here.
- Defining the standard: Leading design processes from research and wire framing to high-fidelity visual execution.
- Analytical depth: Solving complex problems with pragmatic and sophisticated solutions, you know how to strive for simplicity without losing powerful analytical capabilities.
- AI-Native Workflow: Leveraging the latest advancements in AI to accelerate your design process and building AI-driven features that feel like magic for the end user.
- Autonomy: Thriving in a fast-paced environment where you have ownership over your work and make strategic decisions that impact both the product and the company’s design culture.
- Bridging the gap: Collaborating closely with engineers to ensure your designs are implemented with high precision and technical feasibility.

- Complex Data Visualization: Design intuitive interfaces for complex, data-heavy B2B SaaS environments.
- Design Systems: Develop and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across the Rivia platform.
- User Advocacy: Engage directly with users to translate deep clinical insights into delightful and effective product experiences.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Engagement and Engineering to ensure technical developments align with user needs and business objectives.
- Continuous Validation
:
Work closely with customers during the development process to test hypotheses, gather feedback, and ensure we are building the right solutions.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX, or UI roles.
- Drivers, not passengers: A track record of taking initiative, owning outcomes, and thriving in a startup environment.
- Analytical Mindset: Bonus points for experience designing complex, analytical B2B platforms or data-heavy dashboards.
- Technical Literacy: Significant plus if you understand how designs translate into code or can contribute directly to React/Type Script front-end efforts.
- AI Fluency: You are already using AI tools to change how you work and are eager to adapt as the field evolves.
- Pragmatism: You don't hold biases too closely and understand when to compromise for the sake of shipping value.
