As a strategic Tier 1 talent partner for Swisscom, we are currently recruiting an Infrastructure Dev Ops Engineer to join an agile Dev Ops environment within a large-scale enterprise setting.
In this role, you will actively contribute to the development, integration, and operation of modern infrastructure and software solutions. You will take ownership of backlog items, ensure built-in quality and security, and continuously enhance your Dev Ops expertise.
You will work with modern security and compliance applications from HCL Software (Big Fix Licensing Tool), take responsibility for Swisscom’s internal patch and hardening reporting, and simplify the distribution and updating of agents across multiple platforms throughout the organization.
- Duration: 01.03.2026 (start flexible) with initial contract until 30.11.2026 (with option to extend the contract)
- Contract:
Bodyleasing via Swisslinx - Enable and support OS teams in installing and operating the Big Fix agent on Windows and Linux server environments
- Act as the single point of contact for technical questions related to the Big Fix platform and associated infrastructure components
- Manage and operate backend/agent applications across distributed server landscapes
- Implement, configure, and maintain infrastructure components, including networking, storage, and virtualization
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Power Shell, Bash, Python) for API integrations and operational efficiency
- Work with Dev Ops tool chains such as Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, Git, and Jira to enable streamlined deployment and collaboration processes
- Execute and coordinate rollouts and migrations in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and internal OS engineers
- Apply ITIL-based processes (deployment, change, incident, and problem management) in daily operations
- Support the project manager in planning activities, tracking progress, and ensuring milestone transparency
- Ensure clear, transparent, and proactive communication between OS engineers and the project organization
- Analyze complex system landscapes and break them down into manageable subsystems to ensure scalability, compliance, and stability
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Dev Ops and infrastructure environment
Skills Must have:
- Education in computer science (FH/HF/EFZ) or equivalent professional experience
- Basic-level knowledge in software engineering and Dev Ops concepts, as well as an understanding of agile and lean working methods
- Experience working with backend/agent applications on Windows or Linux servers
- Ability to implement and operate infrastructure components (network, storage, virtualization)
- Confident handling of scripting languages such as Power Shell, Bash or Python (e.g., for API usage)
- Familiarity with Dev Ops tools such as Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, Git, Jira
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Deployment, Change, Incident, Problem Management)
- Experience in rollouts, migrations, and collaboration with various technical teams
- Strong communication skills when working with internal OS teams
- High flexibility, growth mindset, and a pronounced hands‑on mentality
- Ability to break down complex systems into simple subsystems (exceptions, excludes, etc.)
- Language English is a must (German would be a plus but not required)
Skills Nice to have:
- Previous know-how of Big Fix, Alerting & Monitoring Tools is a plus
