In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will work to solve business problems using leading‑edge and open‑source tools such as Python, R, and Tensor Flow, combined with IBM tools and our AI application suites. You will prepare, analyze, and understand data to deliver insight, predict emerging trends, and provide recommendations to stakeholders. In your role, you may be responsible for:

• Implementing and validating AI‑models and creating and maintaining statistical models with a focus on big data & incorporating machine learning.
• Writing programs to integrate data in an efficient and scalable manner.
• Working in an agile, collaborative environment, partnering with other scientists, engineers, consultants and database administrators of all backgrounds and disciplines to bring analytical rigor and AI to the challenges of predicting behaviors.
• Communicating with internal and external clients to understand and define business needs and appropriate modelling techniques to provide analytical solutions.
• Evaluating modelling results and communicating the results to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Master's Degree

• Bachelor's or preferably a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep Understanding of Machine Learning & AI.
• Excellent command of Python programming, preferably other programming languages like JavaScript.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in AI & Data Science.
• Experienced with containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proven experience in working with Git Hub or similar engineering collaboration and version control platforms.
• Deep expertise about Large Language Models (LLMs) and Transformers.
• Proven experience with Agentic AI frameworks and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Hands‑on exposure to Model Context Protocol (MCP) & Agent‑2‑Agent (A2A) Protocols.

• Strong Interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and relationship building, while also managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment.
• Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills while embracing a growth mindset to assimilate diverse viewpoints.
• Demonstrate leadership experience and ability to communicate effectively through active listening; while also be willing to adapt and have a readiness to take ownership of tasks and challenges.
• Fluent in English and German written and spoken.
