Azure Solution Architect

Description

We are seeking for an experienced Solution Architect to join EPAM and support our client from the financial services area in their office in Zurich.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions with a focus on Microsoft Azure. The candidate will be responsible for leading the architectural design and deployment of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, managing architectural risks, and ensuring successful delivery.

• Evaluate the proposed cloud solution, working collaboratively to refine and enhance it
• Ensure alignment with best practices, industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing the solution architecture
• Drive the implementation of the Azure Cloud solution, utilizing Microsoft Azure, AKS and Azure Web App Service
• Oversee the deployment process, ensuring ease of deployment, maintainability and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to equip the team with the skills needed for long-term self-sufficiency
• Provide comprehensive documentation and training materials
• Mentor team members on best practices in Azure Cloud, AKS and infrastructure design

• Bachelors degree in information technology or related field
• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Senior Cloud Developer / Solution Architect in Microsoft Azure environments
• Expertise in AKS and Azure Web App Service
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design and implementation
• Ability to balance ease of deployment, maintainability and adherence to regulatory and security standards
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders
• Experience in driving transformational projects and implementing solutions at scale
• Proficient communication skills in English are a must, while knowledge of the German language is a significant advantage
