Service Education Delivery Specialist Job Description
In this role you have the opportunity to develop and deliver training programs for Digital Pathology (DP) Software and SaaS cloud-based solutions. You will enable internal and external service teams to successfully deploy, support, and operate cloud-hosted, software-driven healthcare platforms.
Training is delivered through a variety of modern learning methods, including e-learning, interactive digital modules, webinars, virtual instructor‑led training, and hands‑on labs using cloud environments. Instructor‑led training focuses primarily on software configuration, platform workflows, system integration, and cloud operations, rather than traditional hardware‑centric training.
Target audience for training are remote service engineers, technical consultants and technical support teams working with Philips’ Digital Pathology portfolio.
Your role:
Within Training Development:
- Ensuring courses are created using a standardized, scalable training development process
- Acting as project lead Digital Pathology learning initiatives
- Designing learning journeys focused on cloud architecture, SaaS deployment, platform configuration, cybersecurity, and operational workflows
- Assessing learner proficiency using knowledge‑based assessments, practical labs, and scenario‑based evaluations
- In collaboration with Service Engineering, Cloud Operations, Product Management, Field Service, Documentation, and R&D:
- Develop new SaaS and cloud‑focused training programs
- Continuously improve existing content
- Ensure training materials reflect the latest software releases, cloud architectures, and security requirements
- Driving continuous improvement of training effectiveness and cost efficiency, leveraging digital learning, automation, virtual labs, and self‑paced content
Within Training Delivery:
- Preparing and maintaining cloud‑based lab environments, virtual systems, and digital training platforms to ensure optimal learning conditions
- Coaching learners to efficiently navigate documentation, knowledge bases, and self‑service learning platforms
- Coaching and supporting trainer colleagues and certified trainers across global locations
- Evaluating course quality and learner outcomes, using data and feedback to continuously optimize Software‑SaaS training effectiveness
- Delivering training both virtually and on‑site, at customer locations or Philips campuses worldwide, as needed
You will be part of the Digital Pathology Service planning and Design team within the Clinical Informatics service organization. The team ensures service readiness for Philips’ Digital pathology solutions in order for customers to get maximum value out of the solutions in an efficient way.
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong understanding of SaaS architectures, cloud platforms, and software lifecycle management (preferred)
- Proven instructional or didactical skills
- 3+ years of service experience in SaaS/Software environment (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Solid experience with cloud infrastructure, virtual machines, networking, and server environments (cloud certifications are a plus)
- Familiarity with Dev Ops concepts, system integrations, cybersecurity principles, and software deployment models (preferred)
- Ability to travel occasionally
