• You care deeply about developer experience and have worked on developers‑facing products or technologies before.
• You have deep expertise in blockchain application development and application development in general.
• You are an active coder and developer. You have written blockchain applications yourself.
• Market knowledge of the developer tools and their strengths and weaknesses in other ecosystems.
• Evidence of being able to grasp, communicate, and write about highly complex technical topics.
• 5+ years experience across (technical) product management and related functions like program management and engineering management.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Canton Network is delivering what others promised but couldn’t: a blockchain for finance that actually works. As the only open layer 1 blockchain with configurable privacy and controls sufficient for regulatory compliance, it is the venue where DeFi and Trad Fi are converging.

Canton Network’s growth is driven by a wide ecosystem of institutions and developers building on the network. Everything from crypto assets to regulated financial services, from data and oracle services to KYC and AML solutions for the network relies on Canton’s SDK: the smart contract language, blockchain APIs, integration components, and libraries. These tool chains, related sample code and architectural patterns, and the developer experience at large determine the speed at which the ecosystem can evolve.

In this role you’ll be at the forefront of understanding the needs of developers building apps and services on Canton Network. You’ll engage with development teams across community and commercial partners to both inform them and understand their problems and wishes. You’ll be an expert application developer yourself and be intricately familiar with Canton’s application development tooling. You’ll work with the SDK development team to prioritize problems, ideate and design solutions, and you’ll help translate your insights into an actionable roadmap and backlog and execute against it.

• Continuously improve the developer experience to delight builders on Canton Network.
• Build relationships with builders across the ecosystem to understand their goals and obstacles.
• Become an expert on Canton application development and create materials ranging from documentation to developer marketing.
• Understand and track the requirements, problems, and wishes of the application developer and integrator community relying on Canton’s SDK.
• Manage roadmap, backlog, and releases for the development team behind Canton’s SDK.
• Support SDK development work by clearly formulating projects in terms of problems and objectives, ideating with architects and engineers, and validating designs.
• Stay up to date with the developer experiences provided by other network ecosystems and use that information to inform designs and priorities for Canton’s SDK.
