Manager - Industrial Automation AI Commercialization and Partnerships

Spur Insights, located in Zurich, Switzerland, develops data science, machine learning, and AI solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of industrial processes and machinery. Our solutions are widely used by clients in more than 100 countries, supporting manufacturing operations in industries such as plastics, electronics, and converting.

From our central Zurich office, the Spur Insights team works closely with customers, partners, and internal data science and engineering teams worldwide. In this role, you will join our organization as a senior leader focused on AI commercialization and strategic alliances, helping drive solution adoption and long‑term business growth.

As a key member of the management team, you will act as a bridge between internal and external stakeholders, translating complex AI capabilities into clear, customer‑facing value propositions. You will also represent Spur and build strategic alliances with international organizations relating to industrial automation, such as the Organization of Machine Automation and Control (OMAC), the Control System Integrators Association (CSIA), the EDM Association and other relevant industry bodies.

• Lead AI commercialization initiatives, ensuring clear positioning, adoption, and measurable business impact across global markets
• Build and manage strategic alliances with industry organizations, system integrators, technology partners, and standards bodies
• Represent Spur Insights in high‑level customer, partner, and industry forums
• Ensure acceptance of key Spur Insights technologies through global standards bodies
• Translate complex AI and data science capabilities into compelling, customer‑facing value propositions
• Support business development by contributing to strategic customer engagements, proposals, and partnership discussions
• Identify new partnership, ecosystem, and growth opportunities across priority regions

• Demonstrated ability to guide and direct international standardization activities in the industrial automation and data management area
• Proven experience commercializing AI, data science, or advanced analytics solutions
• Deep understanding of the design, positioning, and deployment of custom and scalable AI solutions in industrial automation
• Demonstrated success in building and managing industrial strategic alliances and partner ecosystems
• Strong experience operating at both strategic and hands‑on levels within a management team
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with senior stakeholders in India, China, and Japan
• Fluency in English and German
• Familiarity with industrial automation, manufacturing systems, or machine intelligence is a strong advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Development, Corporate Communications, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
