Role:
People Partner (HR Business Partner) – Europe
Location: Switzerland (2 days per week on-site – close to Zurich)
Salary: CHF 130,000 – 150,000 plus competitive bonus
My client is open to considering 80% work arrangement.
Middlemore have been retained by a global financial services organisation to recruit an HR Business Partner based in Switzerland. The role supports an Investment Management population across multiple European jurisdictions, including France, and therefore requires fluency in French.
This position is a hands‑on HR delivery role with a strong operational and advisory focus.
The successful candidate will provide day‑to‑day HR support, manage core people processes, and act as a reliable point of contact for managers and employees across Europe. While the role works closely with senior stakeholders, the emphasis is on execution, administration and practical HR support and will work closely with senior stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing- Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees within the Investment Management population
- Reviewing and amending employment contracts, letters and employment documentation such as policies in line with local legislation
- Supporting employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, exits, role changes and compensation updates
- Managing employee relations matters across Switzerland and other European jurisdictions, with support as required.
- Delivering core HR processes at country level including performance management, reward administration, policy implementation and people operations
- Acting as the local HR point of contact for Switzerland, with additional support across Europe
- Supporting integration and alignment with global HR processes and policies
- Working closely with HR Centres of Excellence (Reward, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development) to ensure smooth delivery
- Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring compliance with local employment law and internal policies
- Providing practical guidance to managers on people matters and employment‑related decisions
- Enjoys hands‑on HR work and being close to day‑to‑day people activity
- Is comfortable balancing advisory work with administrative and operational delivery
- Takes a pragmatic, service‑oriented approach to HR
- Previous HR experience within financial services or investment management
- Fluency in French and English
- Strong experience handling employee relations cases in Switzerland
- Solid knowledge of European employment law and HR administration
- Experience drafting and amending employment contracts and related documentation
- Ability to work independently in an international, matrix environment
- Confident supporting senior managers while remaining detail‑focused and delivery‑driven
- Practical, credible and discreet approach when working with investment professionals
