The Chief People Officer gate solutions is a global role and plays a pivotal role as a strategic business partner to senior leadership for Lounges, Trains, deSter and Central kitchens, setting and driving HR initiatives and people standards measuring KPI’s that align with business goals and gategroup strategy for HR, ESG and Internal Communications while fostering operational excellence and a highly engaged workforce.
Making a measurable impact on new business outcomes, and employee satisfaction. Building and maintaining relationships with business and key stakeholders from tender to mobilization and transformation and beyond. The Chief People Officer is a member of the gate solutions leadership team and is integral to the Global People Leadership Team, contributing to the company’s global HR strategy.
1. Strategic People Function Leadership
- Develop and execute the BU People Function strategy in alignment with global principles, policies, and business objectives.
- Partner with BU leadership to ensure People Function practices support business growth, operational goals, and workforce needs.
- Drive workforce planning and talent initiatives that adhere to global frameworks.
- Serve as the key liaison between BU People Function and global People Function teams, ensuring alignment with global principles and policies.
- Collaborate with global leadership to contribute to the development and execution of gategroup’s overall People Function strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the BU People Function team, fostering high performance and alignment with global strategies.
- Support leadership development initiatives based on gategroup’s global competency framework.
- Implement and measure people service and hospitality standards across the organization.
- Manage the BU People team, including solid and dotted line reports from gate solutions and deSter sites.
- Drive change management initiatives aligned with BU and global transformation programs.
- Set strategic direction for engagement and communication plans within gate solutions.
- Optimize organizational structures to improve efficiency, cost control, flexibility, and growth.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and succession planning processes in line with global standards.
- Ensure talent strategies align with gategroup’s DEI goals, fostering belonging and fair growth opportunities.
- Manage employee relations and industrial relations, balancing risk and business needs.
- Act as escalation point for disputes and continuity plans, collaborating with regional HR and business leaders.
- Lead employee communication and engagement programs, incorporating feedback mechanisms aligned with global initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and global People Function policies.
- Represent gate solutions in implementing global policies adapted to local contexts.
- Drive completion of standards and business‑led accreditations.
- Support global People Digitalization strategy implementation and system integration.
- Define and execute gate solutions’ digital HR strategy, including training and adoption initiatives.
- Monitor workforce trends and provide insights to guide strategic decisions.
- Lead HR, ESG, and Internal Communications reporting, ensuring data‑driven alignment with BU and global priorities.
- Implement global compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and equity.
- Drive pay transparency and regular compensation reviews aligned with global frameworks and local market conditions.
- Oversee annual salary reviews, bonus schemes, and leadership benefits for gate solutions.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms (preferably Workday) and MS Office.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Proven track record of leading high‑performing teams and driving change in dynamic environments.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills with operational excellence.
- Inspirational leadership with the ability to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders.
- High integrity, adaptability, and resilience in rapidly changing contexts.
