Finance Controlling Manager

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality monthly management and board reports, including KPI dashboards, variance analysis, and performance insights.
• Coordinate and consolidate group budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi‑year financial plans.
• Maintain robust budget‑to‑actual reporting at both entity and group level.
• Prepare sales performance reports and commission calculations for the global sales organization.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support for strategic projects, investments, and business cases.
• Lead the month‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Perform monthly group financial consolidations.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and external accounting partners.
• Ensure consistent application, documentation, and continuous improvement of group accounting policies and internal controls.
• Design, implement, and continuously enhance finance governance frameworks and best‑practice processes.
• Strengthen financial controls, closing discipline, compliance with policies, and documentation standards across the group.
• Oversee general ledger integrity, account reconciliations, and accrual processes.
• Improve and professionalize finance processes, tools, and workflows across all entities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance operations.
• Support the development and optimization of finance systems and reporting tools.

In this role, you will take full ownership of management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, while also overseeing accounting activities and leading the financial consolidation of our entities. Working closely with the CFO, you will support audits and statutory reporting, and play a key role in budgeting cycles, forecast development, commission calculations, compliance, and overall financial governance. Help to make lung function testing accessible to everyone everywhere, and improve the lives of millions of people with lung diseases.

This position is located in Zurich, Switzerland.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Swiss CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in auditing, controlling, financial planning & analysis or comparable finance role.
• Advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP (Abacus is preferred), consolidation systems, Power BI.
• Very structured and accurate, analytical, and detail-oriented with a pragmatic mindset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in German (C1/native) and English (C1).
• High integrity, discretion, and ownership mentality.
• Experience working in an SME environment and managing or guiding a small team is considered a strong advantage.
• Confident communicator who can interact effectively with management.
