MS Reinsurance is a global reinsurer domiciled in Switzerland with underwriting offices in Zurich, Bermuda, Miami and New York. The Company underwrites non‑life treaty reinsurance solutions on a worldwide basis through its three business units:
Americas, International and Specialty Lines.

About the role

The role sits within the global technical pricing team and bears responsibility as the local guardian of the technical pricing standards for our International Business Area. The primary purpose of this role is to act as a global interface for EMEA and APAC property and casualty business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the International Pricing team
  • Provide timely accurate actuarial input to support underwriting decisions and financial targets
  • Maintain and uphold the Technical Pricing Framework for MS Re International business
  • Ensure models comply with Reinsurance Pricing policy and standards for technical pricing and rate monitoring
  • Drive model modernization across MS AAG collaborating with pricing and development teams to migrate to strategic Technical Pricing infrastructure
  • Develop, maintain and calibrate models; act as primary contact for underwriting teams
  • Analyze internal and external data to enhance technical pricing models
  • Build strong relationships with International Underwriters
  • Organize and deliver underwriter training as needed
  • Support Internal Model parameterization with the Capital Modelling team
  • Contribute to loss reserving for International Business including quarterly meetings and regulatory filings in Switzerland and Bermuda
Profile
  • Qualified actuary with 10 years of relevant industry experience and strong expertise in reinsurance pricing
  • Excellent communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across multiple departments
  • Strong quantitative analytical and IT skills: advanced MS Excel, VBA and SQL; experience with R or Python and data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik View) is a plus
  • Highly organized detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure; proactive and self‑managed while thriving in team environments
  • Experience in analysing and writing long‑tail classes is an asset
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a strong advantage
