Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance
Location: Zürich
In this hands‑on role you will be responsible for an important part of the Group’s Credit Management Operations, Data, Controls and Reporting activities. Your focus will be to provide high-quality reporting and analysis while ensuring data quality and integrity. Group-wide risk aggregation systems accumulate data and business rules enable proper classifications and exposure treatment. Your analytical abilities help to evolve our credit risk data, systems and processes.
You are passionate about providing value in a risk management context and learning about credit risk management. You continuously strive to improve, automate, and challenge the status quo. As part of the Financial Risk Governance team you will work closely with credit specialists, system developers and stakeholders across the Zurich Group to ensure requirements are executed in line with Group Risk Management’s mandate.
We will count on you to interact with many key teams across the organization. You will work with highly qualified and motivated people in a diverse team.
- Develop, document and maintain standardised reporting including Power
BI solutions for credit exposures such as investment risk, reinsurance credit risk, credit underwriting and derivatives activities. - Maintain and develop governance requirements, policy and minimum risk management standards as they relate to data quality.
- Prepare Group Risk Management reporting in collaboration with risk managers for Management, Board, the Zurich annual review reporting as it relates to Credit Risk, regulators and rating agencies.
- Ensure policy adherence and ERM processes controls are implemented and evidenced as it relates to the team’s responsibilities.
- Respond to ad‑hoc reporting queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Identify data quality issues and propose solutions and business cases to address them.
- Drive ongoing efficiency, process and system improvements, including automation of controls and system workflows in close collaboration with risk managers.
- Bachelor’s degree or similar in Business, Finance or Computer Science.
- 3‑5+ years’ relevant experience in data analysis, reporting and possibly with exposure to risk control, risk or finance reporting.
- Strong analytical ability with advanced application of Excel, Power
BI or similar reporting systems, data bricks, and programming skills (e.g., R is beneficial). - Prior knowledge of insurance or banking would be advantageous.
- Financial data literacy would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English.
- Innovative problem‑solver with the ability to design, implement and automate effective change.
