Overview
Senior Pricing Actuary - Specialty Lines e focuses on leading Pricing and supporting the Business on profitability analysis for the specialty line department units.
Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership:
Defining and executing pricing strategies aligned with business goals. Partnering with underwriting, reserving, and other functions; leading innovation in pricing methodologies and tools; developing and maintaining pricing models for specialty products; ensuring technical pricing reflects risk adequately and complies with regulatory requirements; monitoring pricing adequacy and profitability across portfolios. - Team Management:
Leading and mentoring a team of pricing actuaries and analysts; leading business reviews to support Partner Re portfolio optimization; defining and leading various project teams (model development, annual parameter studies, ad hoc requests); fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborating with underwriters, department heads, reserving, risk management; providing clear insights to the reserving team; presenting pricing insights and recommendations to Head of Pricing. - Governance & Compliance:
Ensuring pricing practices meet internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements.
You are a qualified actuary or hold a Masters degree in Mathematics or Data Science / Data Analysis or equivalent. You bring approximately 8 years of experience in Non-Life Reinsurance Pricing for Specialty Lines (Aviation, Financial Risk, Marine, Energy, etc.), including approximately 3 years of pricing actuarial experience. Experience in managing small cross-functional teams is an asset.

- Strong actuarial background; deep understanding of specialty lines and their risk characteristics; proficiency in pricing tools (R, Python).

- Ability to align pricing strategies with broader business objectives; problem-solving with critical thinking to develop solutions.

- Experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders; strong communication and presentation skills.
Analytical & Problem-Solving
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret complex data and trends; ability to develop innovative pricing solutions.

- Comfortable leading transformation initiatives and adopting new technologies.
Global Perspective
- Understanding of international markets and regulatory environments; ability to work across geographies and cultures.
Languages:
English (fluent); knowledge of additional European languages is a plus.
