The Head of Surety leads the Surety business, serving mid‑market and industrial/large corporate clients, developing bespoke bonding solutions, managing credit risks, and fostering strong market relationships. This role drives product development (including focus on innovative insurance solutions), market positioning, and risk management, safeguarding the long‑term profitability and sustainability of the Surety portfolio.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled team of Surety underwriters and specialists.
• Define and execute strategy for Surety, including product development and market expansion.
• Oversee underwriting for surety bonds, ensuring thorough risk and financial analysis.
• Monitor economic and legislative trends; proactively manage portfolio risks.
• Serve as referral authority for complex bond requests.
• Build relationships with clients, brokers, and financial institutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in underwriting processes and risk assessment.

• 10+ years’ experience in Surety underwriting, with a strong background in industrial and large corporate business, including senior leadership roles. Expertise in financial analysis, credit risk, and contract law.
• Proven ability to manage and grow profitable portfolios.
• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Law.
