Sounds interesting, right? Well, here is an exciting opportunity that you should not miss. Applications are invited for the ETH Robotics Student Fellowship 2026. A 9-week fully funded fellowship program organized by ETH Zurich and managed through Robot

X, the center for Robotics at ETH Zurich, invites applications from outstanding international students from around the world to experience cutting-edge research in robotics at ETH Zurich.

The fellowship is designed for talented students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree program in engineering or related fields with an interest in robotics. The fellowship provides students the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience by conducting real-time research in robotics under the supervision of an ETH Zurich expert in state-of-the-art research settings. Robotics has become one of the emerging fields of education and research worldwide.

ETH Robotics Summer Fellowship 2026:
Overview

Robot

X is inviting applications from applicants meeting the following criteria:

  • Calling applications from all nationals
  • Students currenlty in bachelors or masters degree programs
  • Pursuing their degrees in internationally recognized institutes
  • Bachelor’s students must be in the last year of their degree program
  • Students pursuing their degree in Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, AI, Computer Science, computational engineering, or closely related fields are invited
  • Students must demonstrate excellent academic achievements
  • Commit to full-time participation for the entire fellowship period
  • Demonstrate a strong research interest in robotics
Coverage

The host organization offers generous support to the fellows. The coverage includes:

  • A stipend of CHF 4000 to cover the living expenses for 2 months stay
  • Visa assistance and coverage
  • Accommodation for the duration of the program
  • Hands-on research experience in Robotics
  • Expand your global network with international students and robotics professionals
  • Explore the Doctoral programs at ETH Zurich

Research Labs

The fellowships are available in the following Robotics labs:

  • Letter of Motivation not exceeding max 1 page
  • Two Academic References
  • Valid Passport
