** Your Mission
*** Take ownership of bids and projects within the Space sector, supporting the ambitious growth objectives of Thales Alenia Space CH.
* Lead and inspire teams responsible for developing and delivering instruments for scientific satellites and optical communications terminals, as well as conducting studies and phase A projects for agencies (primarily the European Space Agency).
* Work closely with our multinational program teams to ensure the seamless completion of design engineering, production, and testing by enabling the smooth transition from bid phase to production and through to post-delivery support.
* Building and managing relationships with customers (internal or external), primes, and key stakeholders.
* Providing clear leadership and strategic vision to the project or bid team.
* Reviewing, committing to, and consolidating project or bid baselines and schedules while driving on-time delivery.
* Effectively managing costs, forecasts, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
* Preparing accurate and consistent project reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Recognizing when your team needs additional support and securing the necessary resources from within the organization.

*** You hold a Degree in Space/Aerospace Engineering
* You have a proven track record in successfully leading development projects in the space sector.
* Concrete work experience across the product development lifecycle, including the management and delivery of new space products (such as satellite equipment) in accordance with ESA standards.
* Demonstrated proficiency in developing electronic system components in compliance with ECSS standards.
* Strong capability in managing complex project teams and organizational structures, including suppliers, external agencies, customers, and internal company entities.
* Substantial hands-on experience collaborating with space agencies such as the European Space Agency (ESA), the Swiss Space Office, or equivalent agencies in other countries.
* Excellent command of English (able to lead negotiations);
German skills are advantageous, while French or Italian would be a strong asset.
