Big Data System Engineer (Platform Engineer)

1 year fixed term contract with extension

As a Big Data System Engineer (Platform Engineer), you will make an impact by designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable big data platforms. You will be a valued member of the data engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.

• Design and implement big data infrastructure and platform solutions.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of data systems.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize data workflows.
• Monitor and troubleshoot platform performance and reliability.
• Automate deployment and maintenance tasks using Dev Ops practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Linux, scripting languages, and automation tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with real-time data processing frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  
  Knowledge of security best practices for big data environments.
• Exposure to machine learning workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
