Your responsibilities
The postdoc will pursue their own research in the area of digital democracy, i.e., work related to the digital transformation of politics. The research group's second main research interest is in computational social science, and it is part of the Digital Society Initiative, the university's competence center on digitalization.
The position contributes to teaching in the field of digital democracy, political behavior, political communication or applied methods (1.5 classes per semester on average), advising of BA and MA students, and some administrative tasks. Collaboration in research projects running in the research group and the department is encouraged.
Your profile
- PhD in political science, computational social science or in a closely related discipline
- Interest in political behavior, political communication and, more generally, research on digital democracy, i.e., the consequences of digitalization for politics
- Excellent knowledge of quantitative methods/ computational social science and an interest in further developing methodological skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Strong command of English
- Creativity, open-mindedness and curiosity
