External Manufacturing Manager (80%-100%) based in Zug, Switzerland About Bioeq
Bioeq AG is a dynamic Swiss biopharmaceutical enterprise focused on manufacturing and commercialising biosimilar, globally. Our ranibizumab, the leading biosimilar to Lucentis®, is being marketed across main regulated territories including the US, Europe and the MENA region.
About the roleYou will be responsible for leading and managing all activities with our external manufacturers (CMOs) and raw material suppliers, in alignment with all relevant internal stakeholders such as Quality, Regulatory and Finance. You will report to the Head External Manufacturing & Supply Chain. Your main responsibilities encompass:
- Act as the operations lead within the External Manufacturing team including CMOs, testing labs and other key service providers
- Manage supplier relationships with CMOs, ensuring compliance and timely product delivery
- Plan manufacturing including supply of materials to ensure OTIF deliveries
- Synchronise manufacturing timelines within the department to ensure timely product supply to partners
- Be the primary contact person for selected CMOs and raw material suppliers and lead weekly operational meetings
- Coordinate process changes with CMOs and internal functions (e.g. Regulatory and Quality)
- Participate in internal activities related to External Manufacturing such as change management, deviations and CAPAs
- Participate in CMO and supplier audits as required
- Support planning of mid to long term manufacturing activities
- Own the subcontracting processes within the company including forecasting and cost management process of the assigned CMOs
- Lead key projects with CMOs and eventual technical transfers of Drug Substance
- Deputise to the head of the function as appropriate

Furthermore, you bring along:- University Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain
- Proven track record of 3+ years in pharmaceutical industry or in a similar highly regulated industry (e.g. medical devices), ideally in a drug substance or fill & finish environment
- Previous work experience involving direct contact with CMOs and other external parties
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to establish effective processes and relationships with partners
- Sound knowledge of cGMP manufacturing of biologics
- Proficiency using Microsoft tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German and the ability to communicate in a business environment
