About the job:
- Oversee all general ledger activities in SAP, including postings, reconciliations, period closings, and maintenance of key master data.
- Ensure proper application of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage securities accounting in cooperation with external partners.
- Lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
- Coordinate payment processes, cash handling, and expense management.
- Serve as the primary contact for banks, service providers, auditors, and internal audit.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks.
- Produce regulatory filings and tax-related submissions, including VAT and withholding tax reclaims.
- Deliver liquidity meille, budget vs. actual reports, and ad-hoc evaluations.
- Maintain and develop the internal control system (ICS).
- Lead and develop the finance accounting team.
- Support the Head of Finance and contribute to cross-functional projects.
- Prepare internal reports and analyses as needed.
- Strong decision‑making skills within your area of responsibility.
- Proven leadership experience in finance or accounting.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting or controlling, ideally in a regulated environment.
- Strong expertise in SAP (FI; experience with CFM is a plus).
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
- Confident in preparing financial statements and managing end‑to‑end accounting processes.
- Experience with ICFR frameworks is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, precision, and a structured working style.
- Proven leadership experience or clear potential to lead a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent German and English required.
