Intro

Welcome to Sanoptis – a leading network of modern eye clinics and ophthalmology practices with over 440 locations throughout Europe. Our vision is to improve well‑being and quality of life through first‑class ophthalmological treatment. Our innovative, decentralized model enables our partner locations to operate independently and to focus on the individual needs of their patients. At the same time, they are part of a larger network with strong partners, which offers them synergies, state‑of‑the‑art technology, and many other benefits.

Sanoptis invests +€200m across M&A and organic expansion initiatives – join our team as Head of Corporate Finance, overseeing capital allocation and financing.

We are constantly making investment decisions m acquisitions to capital expenditure to minority share repurchases, our success depends on evaluating and executing the strategic, economic and legal aspects of these transactions. Additionally, with this scale of investment comes the need to increase and optimise our external financing.

In this role, you will
  • Oversee our Capital Allocation Strategy: accounting for our strategic priorities and existing commitments, you will steer the quantum and cadence of discretionary investments across geographies and initiatives. You will additionally review the performance of historical investments to inform the strategy and new opportunities.
  • Increase and optimise our external financing: ensuring sufficient capacity to continue our expansion activities, you will lead the process of raising additional financing and renegotiating terms to reduce our cost of capital. This will require careful planning and co‑ordination of numerous stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Lead capital structure transactions: preparing for and executing transactions, you will be the point person for topics related to changes in equity. This includes the repurchase of doctors’ shares, the sale of shares to doctors, and a potential sale process of Sanoptis.
  • Own and maintain our Group Business Plan: considering the frequent developments (new acquisitions and other investments), you will work closely with our Manager Corporate Finance to periodically update our long‑term plan. This will enable our strategic decision‑making, inform the Capital Allocation Strategy and decisions regarding debt financing.
You will closely work with
  • CFO (line manager) and our Manager Corporate Finance, who will report to you
  • The Group Finance team and respective Country leadership teams
  • Sanoptis’ senior management team
  • Banks, rating agencies and advisors (lawyers, due diligence providers)
Your profile includes
  • +6 years’ finance experience, including time in investment banking and/or private equity
  • Ownership of debt financing and exit processes
  • Ideally, experience in healthcare and/or private‑equity‑backed consolidation models
  • Willingness to dive in and apply a structured approach within an entrepreneurial setting
  • Ability to synthesise and communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences
  • Track record of delivering outstanding performance in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent English skills (Level C1 or above)
Sanoptis offers
  • Meritocratic remuneration: An attractive salary package, supplemented by an annual performance‑related bonus tied to individual and company‑specific targets
  • Autonomy and creative freedom: The opportunity to work independently and contribute your own innovative ideas – thanks to flat hierarchies and short decision‑making processes that strengthen our organization
  • Professional development: Opportunities for continuous learning and personal growth through training, online academies, workshops, and industry conferences
  • Inclusive culture: Work in a talented and diverse team with a warm office culture and regular team events

At Sanoptis, we value talent, passion, and attitude over specific experience. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and prioritize equal opportunities for all.
