Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital allocators, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer [CFO] with senior-level financial services and fund operations experience to take ownership of the firm’s global financial control, accounting, corporate finance and fund operations functions. Overview

Dialectic acts as an advisor to multiple liquid crypto funds specializing in onchain DeFi yield strategies, as well as venture activity focused on crypto/blockchain technologies. Additionally, Dialectic has incubated and spun out 1OF1, a prominent digital art collection, and Makina, an onchain asset management protocol. The successful candidate will oversee global financial control, accounting, corporate finance (including M&A), fundraising, and reporting across our group entities (Swiss and international), the offshore (Cayman) funds under our advisory, as well as select financial affairs for our founding members.

Key Responsibilities Corporate Finance & Reporting
  • Oversee all corporate finance activities across entities and jurisdictions, including budgeting, financial reporting, financial projections, financial modeling, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Coordinate M&A processes and corporate fund raises as well as secondary share transactions and resultant cap table changes.
  • Coordinate tax reporting and compliance processes, working with third-party advisors as necessary.
  • Maintain internal cost accounting, budgets, and consolidated group reporting.
Fund Administration & Client Servicing
  • Work with the Cayman fund’s third-party fund administrator to manage, streamline, and enhance the monthly NAV finalization process for Cayman-based funds.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for clients, overseeing onboarding, offboarding, communications, and reporting, while continuously improving client-facing processes.
Tax & Capital Strategy
  • Lead cross-jurisdictional tax optimization initiatives and other data-driven strategic analyses.
  • Coordinate, review, and execute tax projects for the company principal.
  • Support Swiss entities on tax rulings and capital raise activities.
  • Supporting employee stock options and token grants and maintaining share ledgers across the group of companies.
Strategic Projects & Business Initiatives
  • Drive special projects that enhance business performance, including the evaluation of structured products (e.g., structured debt) to optimize fund structures and returns.
  • Assess and pursue opportunities such as government grants that support technology-driven businesses.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Mentor and develop junior finance professionals, ensuring high performance and career growth.
  • Supervise a current team of two finance professionals, with responsibility for their output and development.
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in financial and operational roles across crypto-native DeFi companies, investment fund management, and financial services roles.
  • Strong background in corporate finance and M&A, with proven ability to prepare budgets, financial projections, structure financial instruments to unlock capital efficiency and maintain financial statements.
  • Deep expertise in accounting and tax reporting, including multi-entity structures and consolidation accounting; strong working knowledge of Swiss Accounting and IFRS standards.
  • Proven track record in senior roles within asset management or related financial environments
  • Experience in successful stakeholder engagement with FINMA or similar regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in people management, team development, and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration.
  • Advanced project management skills with a methodical, data-driven, and problem-solving approach.
  • MS Excel/Google Sheets super-user, with a history of producing clear, reproducible financial documentation and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow quality.
