What To Expect

The Business Planning team sits at the center of Tesla’s Sales & Delivery organization and plays a critical role in shaping how the business plans, prioritizes, and executes across EMEA. We support decision‑making on topics ranging from demand and supply planning to market expansion, FSD adoption, used cars strategy, B2B growth, and competitive positioning.

As a Business Planning Analyst, you will act as a generalist problem solver supporting a wide range of high‑impact initiatives. This role is intentionally broad: priorities evolve quickly, and you will be expected to translate ambiguity into structured analysis, and deliver clear, actionable insights to senior stakeholders. You will work closely with cross‑functional partners across sales, delivery, finance, real estate, data science, and global strategy teams.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in fast‑moving environments, and wants to build strong analytical, business, and stakeholder‑management skills while helping steer Tesla’s growth in EMEA.

What You’ll Do
  • Support planning initiatives across multiple domains, including Sales & Delivery, Market & Competition, Used Cars, B2B, and Full Self‑Driving, adapting quickly to different priorities
  • Build and maintain analytical models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and decision‑making under supply and demand constraints
  • Analyze large internal and external datasets to identify risks, opportunities, and performance gaps, and translate findings into clear business recommendations
  • Partner closely with regional and central stakeholders to understand operational realities, incorporate market nuances, and discuss planning assumptions
  • Map existing processes, identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and propose data‑driven improvements to planning, execution, and performance management
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning frameworks, tools, and data structures used across the organization
What You’ll Bring
  • Education in Engineering, Computer/Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong analytical foundation with hands‑on experience using SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages to build models and analyze data
  • Solid experience working with large datasets, including data cleaning, transformation, and analysis (Excel, SQL, BI tools such as Tableau or similar)
  • Good understanding of planning concepts, including supply and demand trade‑offs, forecasting, and operational constraints
  • Strong business intuition and process thinking, with the ability to balance analytical rigor and practical decision‑making
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, ramping quickly on new topics, and delivering high‑quality outputs under time pressure
  • Clear, structured communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across regions and functions
