About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sourcing Manager (m/f/d) to join our Direct Procurement Operations team. This role plays a key part in the execution of procurement activities within a regional or site-specific context, as well as supplier management responsibilities in alignment with the Category Management team.

The Sourcing Manager supports key procurement processes and ensures compliance with internal policies, while actively contributing to performance optimization, cost savings, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute procurement requests in line with category guidance and company standards, including use of preferred supplier agreements and contractual requirements
• Engage with procurement and business stakeholders to align on procurement strategy and execute sourcing processes
• Utilize appropriate tools and methodologies to maximize procurement value and efficiency
• Collaborate with Category Management to identify sourcing opportunities and aggregate demand where applicable
• Ensure supplier performance is optimized and aligned with business expectations
• Prepare, review, and manage contractual documentation (e.g. master agreements, statements of work, change orders) in collaboration with legal and compliance functions
• Understand and translate end-user requirements into actionable procurement strategies
• Ensure full compliance with applicable procurement policies, procedures, and documentation standards
• Provide updates on procurement status, progress, and results to internal stakeholders
• Support ongoing process improvements and knowledge sharing within the procurement function

Required Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, including contracting, ERP systems (preferably SAP), and spot buying
• Experience in sourcing management within technical categories (e.g., electronics, mechanics)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into procurement requirements
• Knowledge of sourcing tools and procurement platforms (e.g., eSourcing, eAuction)
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Demonstrated ability to support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong team orientation and stakeholder management skills
• Preferred Qualifications
• Postgraduate business-related qualification or certifications (e.g., CIPS, ISM)
• Experience in Strategic Sourcing or international cost optimization projects
• Exposure to operational excellence or continuous improvement frameworks
• Industry experience in Life Sciences or regulated environments
• Fluency in German (B2 level or higher)
• Experience with procure-to-pay and sourcing systems
