15-Bed Unit | Avg Census: 7

Stem cell experience is preferred but not required — strong ICU critical care skills are essential.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Day Shift: 3x12 (07:00 – 19:30)
• Weekend Coverage: As needed
• Float Required: Yes (Med/Surg & Oncology mixed unit)
• Orientation: 24–40 hours
• First-Time Travelers Welcome

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical protocols, policies, and physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and promptly report any changes or concerns.
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies while ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Maintain infection control standards, patient safety protocols, and proper use of PPE.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and participate in rapid response or code situations.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers while ensuring continuity of care.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience (4 years preferred)
• Experience managing 1:4 patient ratios
• Comfortable floating to Med/Surg & Oncology
• Epic charting experience preferred

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• OCN preferred
• BSN preferred
