Hospital Instruction

Overview

Homebound Teachers provide instruction to students who are unable to physically attend school due to medical or other reasons. Teachers work on an as-needed basis with a flexible schedule across various subject areas. Instruction is typically provided in person for 1 hour per week, up to 2 times per week.

• Deliver academic instruction aligned with district and state standards.
• Support students in maintaining academic progress while away from school.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and service providers to meet student needs.
• Provide instruction in a variety of subjects as required.

• Must hold a valid Illinois teaching license/certification.
