Setup Technician - Zeeland Area

Salary Range: $41,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

• Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules.
• Install, adjust, and replace tooling, dies, and fixtures.
• Calibrate and fine‑tune equipment for optimal performance and product specifications.
• Conduct first‑piece inspections and verify quality standards are met before production runs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions or setup‑related issues.
• Document setup parameters, tooling changes, and maintenance performed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality procedures during setup operations.

• Proven experience as a Setup Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude for troubleshooting and machine adjustments.
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and preventative checks.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety protocols and quality standards.

• Experience with CAD/CAM software or CNC programming.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Certification in a specialized field such as industrial maintenance, robotics, or advanced metrology.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics or hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams for advanced troubleshooting.
