Plascore has an opening for a Quality Engineer who can plan and direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials and products.
Responsibilities- Assists with audits, including closing out audit findings, creating reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions.
- Reviews company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures.
- Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
- Assists with continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
- Responsible for non-conforming material, tracking and reporting on rejection of material.
- Develop training to build quality awareness.
- Assists with customer specific requirements. Support/perform conformance to customer specifications (PPAP, 1st article, data sheets, etc.)
- Assist with planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions.
- Assist, when necessary, with gage calibrations, conformance testing, special testing, die and fixture approvals.
- Basic Understanding of statistical analysis: SPC, Control Charts, Capability, etc.
- Assist Quality Manager with supplier development.
- Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with approved data.
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints.
- Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Continually look for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
- Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
- Degree relevant to engineering and/or quality
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- QMS experience 9100 preferred
- Power BI experience
- Mascap experience
- Technical writing
- Trustworthy, dependable, humble and driven - a must
- Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
