We are seeking a 4th/5th Grade Self‑Contained Teacher to provide engaging, standards‑aligned instruction across core subject areas in a primarily virtual environment with limited on‑site expectations.
Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality instruction in core content areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, aligned to Michigan Academic Standards
- Plan and facilitate live and asynchronous lessons that promote student engagement and ownership of learning
- Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and varying academic needs
- Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic and social‑emotional growth
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and required documentation
- Communicate regularly with families regarding progress, expectations, and supports
- Collaborate with colleagues, interventionists, and support staff
- Participate in meetings, professional learning, and required school events
- Uphold iCademy Global policies, procedures, and expectations
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education or a related field
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an elementary all‑subjects endorsement (K–5, K–8, or Upper Elementary 3–6) or ability to obtain
- Experience teaching upper elementary students
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Comfort using technology and virtual learning platforms
- Experience in a virtual or blended learning environment
- Familiarity with Michigan Academic Standards
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Primarily remote with scheduled on‑site requirements
- On‑site one day per week during the school year (Tuesdays)
- Additional on‑site attendance required for state testing, new student orientation, and other required school events
- Reliable internet access and appropriate home workspace required
- Full‑time, exempt. School‑year position
