Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Accounting Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day financial operations of our manufacturing business. This role is responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring accuracy of financial records, and supporting leadership with timely reporting and analysis. The Accounting Manager will have a strong background in accounting within a manufacturing environment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a small business setting.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems to support manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external audit requirements.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Support leadership with financial reporting, variance analysis, and business performance metrics.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and accuracy in daily operations.
• Partner with operations, purchasing, and leadership teams to improve financial processes and controls.
• Oversee tax filings, compliance reporting, and coordination with external auditors and tax professionals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite is a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both strategically and hands‑on in a small company environment.
