The position involves providing fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. Cashiers process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities.
Responsibilities- Process Checkout and/or Return transactions and monitor the Self-Checkout area.
- Provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities by proactively seeking product knowledge.
- Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrink.
- Head Cashier responsibilities include expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues.
- Assist in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to coach and develop others.
- Preferred qualification: 1+ years of Cashier experience.
