Position SummaryWe seek a dynamic and driven Organization Director to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality professional service and support to county boards and volunteer leaders, helping them meet the needs of our membership in alignment with the OFBF Strategic Plan. You will play a crucial role in strengthening and expanding the presence and influence of the Ohio Farm Bureau at both the county and state levels.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Direction:
Guide and support County Farm Bureaus to enhance their strength, effectiveness, and visibility in achieving Ohio Farm Bureau and county-specific goals. - Membership Growth:
Drive membership growth through various strategies, including annual volunteer campaigns, direct sales, and fostering strong partnerships. - Volunteer Development:
Collaborate with county leaders to recruit new volunteers, offering leadership opportunities and training to build and enhance volunteer leadership skills. - Community & Partner Engagement:
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including Nationwide, legislators, governmental agencies, agribusinesses, local businesses, and community groups. - Financial Oversight:
Assist county boards in managing finances, including developing annual budgets aligned with county goals and ensuring annual audits are conducted. - Office Management:
Oversee the local Farm Bureau office, managing personnel, data, finances, and correspondence to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to motivate, enthuse, and recognize volunteers
- Public speaking abilities
- Knowledge of financial and marketing principles
- Valid driver’s license
- Residence in a county within the Organization Director’s Territory
- 1-2 years of work experience in a business environment
- Knowledge or experience in agriculture
