Crisis Technician

The Crisis Technician provides a supportive and empathic environment for successful resolution of clients’ crisis though crisis intervention counseling and education with program clients. Responsible for providing assistance and teaching daily living skills and psychosocial skills with program clients at the Crisis Stabilization Unit. Will assist with discharge planning and complete all required documentation including discharge summaries for clients when they are leaving the program.

Provides coverage for Crisis Hotline Services.

Opportunities available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

• Ensures the timely completion of all documentation related to providing and billing for services rendered including discharge planning.
• Arranges transportation for clients through family or CPST (Case Management) services. Provides transportation when staffing allows and as needed or as directed by Director or CSU Coordinator.
• Provides coverage for 24/7 Crisis Hotline services.
• Keeps Director/Coordinator informed of potential risk situations and contacts other Allwell professionals as indicated by assessment.
• Participates in group supervision, internal staff meetings, in-services, and external workshops for professional growth and development.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must possess good organizational and communication skills.
• Must demonstrate good judgment skills and utilize basic problem-solving skills.
• Able to resolve crisis situations in the most clinically effective manner.

• High School Diploma required and some experience in the mental health field preferred.
• Must possess a valid Ohio driver license with acceptable driving record.
