We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cost Accountant with manufacturing experience to join our finance team.
Cost Accountant Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cost analysis to identify and report on variances between standard and actual costs
- Monitor and analyze production costs, providing insights and recommendations for cost optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and ensure accurate cost allocation
- Maintain and update cost accounting records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, providing management with timely and accurate information for decision-making
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts
- Participate in inventory management and valuation processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Cost Accountant Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
