Staff Pharmacist

This is a full-time on-site role based in Zachary, LA, for a Staff Pharmacist. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing and distributing medications, providing drug-related information and guidance to healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and maintaining accurate records. Additional responsibilities include monitoring medication therapies, verifying orders, and assisting in the implementation of clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, prescription processing, and medication management
• Proficiency in providing drug information, counseling patients, and supporting healthcare professionals with medication-related decisions
• Attention to detail and capability to review and verify prescriptions to ensure safety and accuracy
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage workflow and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
  
  D.) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid pharmacist licensure and good standing with the appropriate state board
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and commitment to consistent compliance
• Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is a plus
