Ochsner Health has been serving patients since 1942 with a commitment to care, healing, and innovation. This position offers the opportunity to provide direct patient care within a supportive primary care setting.

This job provides direct care, including IV therapy, to assigned patients under the direction of a registered nurse. The LPN directs and assists ancillary nursing staff, interacts with multidisciplinary teams, and upholds professional standards to deliver personalized patient care.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: IV Therapy Credentials.

• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills; self‑directed with good judgment.
• Good interpersonal and delegation skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Use the nursing process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, guests, family members, and coworkers to ensure a quality experience.
• Adapt to rapid change positively throughout the day as unit / department needs change.
• Manage personal professional development and maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
• Perform other related duties as required.
