IT Infrastructure Manager
The IT Infrastructure Manager will set and deploy the IT Strategy to ensure cybersecurity standards are met according to Company directives. He is directly responsible for the operational management of the human and material resources required to ensure the proper functioning of the company's IT infrastructure and services.
Description- Lead the IT Infrastructure team, strategy and all related projects.
- Own, execute and improve all processes related to IT Infrastructure (CH & all SYM entities).
- Be the owner of all IT systems within the company and ensure their proper functioning.
- Ensure SLAs are set for IT mission critical systems e.g., ERP, MES, to mitigate business continuity risks.
- ERP & MES: provide support and advice, facilitating collaboration between external providers and engineering teams on future developments.
- Propose improvements and implement digitization solutions with the business leaders.
- Select, implement and maintain infrastructure architecture solutions for general IT services (overall IT environment, email, printing, workstation setup, LAN, etc.).
- Implement infrastructure architecture solutions according to the guidelines and technical specifications defined by the Software Engineering Manager for developed services and products.
- Oversee IT infrastructure components: datacenter, servers, storage, virtualization, workstations, production workers when necessary, mobility, MDM/UEM.
- Manage networks and telecommunications: LAN, WAN, SDWAN, VPN, WiFi, firewalls, VoIP/Microsoft Teams/Zoom.
- Oversee cloud environments and services:
IaaS/PaaS/SaaS (e.g., Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365), identity and access management (AD/Azure AD/Entra). - Lead and facilitate corporate licenses management.
- Prepare, plan and deploy a cybersecurity strategy, and then monitor its implementation and efficiency.
- Ensure information security: policies, IAM, EDR/XDR, backups, encryption, SOC/SIEM, disaster recovery (DRP) and business continuity (BCP).
- Manage IT support and operations: helpdesk, monitoring, incident, problem, and change management (ITIL framework).
- Oversee license and asset management: hardware/software inventory, CMDB, lifecycle management, compliance.
- Manage suppliers and contracts: vendor selection, RFPs, negotiation, SLA monitoring, and penalty follow‑up.
- Ensure governance and compliance with applicable frameworks and regulations: GDPR, ISO/IEC 27001/13485, internal policies, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead IT projects (excluding software development): deployments, migrations, integration of third‑party solutions, and modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with leadership team, operations, software engineering, R&D, Manufacturing Engineering and quality assurance teams.
- Plan and manage the financial, human and material resources.
- Ensure high employee engagement within the department, manage and evaluate direct reports, while ensuring efficient talent acquisition and retention.
- Be a role model and advocate of corporate culture, core values and value proposition.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in managing an IT department within an industrial company, proven experience with infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity and systems (multi‑site networks, ERP, MES, cloud, etc.).
- Solid experience in managing IT projects (deployments, migrations, infrastructure upgrades) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and risk mitigation.
- Strong technical competence and ability to adapt to evolving technologies in order to support industrial processes, automation and digital transformation.
- Strong people manager skills with proven capability to empower, motivate and develop others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership presence, while being able to influence and get results at all levels in the organization.
- Languages:
Fluent in French and English is a must.
