Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner – General Medicine AZ and Make a Difference
Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing essential healthcare services? We are seeking skilled General Medicine Providers to fulfill vital roles across Arizona, performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments that directly support our nation's Veterans. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to Veteran care without the need for prior treatment or prescribing responsibilities.

- Reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other eligible expenses
- Conduct remote Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
- Perform interview-based evaluations complemented by physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
- Complete exams efficiently, submit detailed reports and addendums promptly
- Collaborate with Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team to ensure quality and compliance
- Active Nurse Practitioner license with certification in Arizona
- Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, or internal medicine
- Ability to perform interview-based assessments and conduct physical evaluations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduling flexibly
Skills:
- Prior experience with compensation and pension evaluations
- Knowledge of disability or Veteran healthcare requirements
- Familiarity with medical reporting and documentation
Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher
- At least 2 years of clinical practice experience in general or internal medicine
- Experience in conducting assessments for government or military-related evaluations
- Candidates must reside within specified radii of assigned locations (e.g., 50 miles for Flagstaff, Sierra Vista; 40-50 miles for other locations)
- Ability to perform 4-hour (half-day) or 8-hour (full-day) shifts on a PRN, ongoing basis
- Willingness to complete required training and initial exams to qualify for bonus eligibility
- Travel is included in the compensation package; no reimbursement for certifications or onboarding training
