overview
description of job scope heavy labor line worker is an employee in the production department. This role is a member of our production team and is responsible to perform manual heavy labor needed to process with the highest standards of food quality. The employee is required to notify any issues regarding food safety and general safety awareness.

responsibilities
adhere to all classic salads food safety and gmp policies, including basic policies (trn-0101, trn-102, trn-103. Trn-104. Trn-105. Trn-1061.complete classic salads standard production proceduresuse proper lifting and folding boxes techniquesreport all deficiencies to management.work overtime and weekends and holidays if necessary.move product and/or materials manually as requiredreport all injuries and incidents big or small.demonstrate attention to detailreport any foreign objects while performing duties to immediate supervisor.communicate with management and/or other employeesbe conscious to reduce material spoilage.able to work in a cold wet environment 34-36 °fwork/cross-train in other areasfold boxes continuously 1 lb to 3 lbslift bags continuously 2 oz to 4 lbsstack and lift boxes continuously 3 lbs to 4 lbs 5-6 boxes highkeep work area cleanrotate through all positions in the packing linelift finished product boxes continuously 3 lbs to 15 lbsstay in assigned work areaability to operate a manual pallet jackstack and lift raw and finished product containers/boxes 10-50 lbs continuouslyteam lift garbage cans 10-70 lbs occasionallylift empty pallets 45-85 lbs continuouslysort and stack empty totes by color and size.wrap and palletize finished productmark cartons and label according to instructionscommunicate with data entry employees and machine operatorsfollow directions regarding product mixes and recipeswear required personal protective equipment (ppe): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles), face shield, gloves, slip-resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron, etc.be aware of surroundings due to forklift trafficif employee is authorized to drive a forklift by management, employee has to be certified by classic saladswith previous management authorization employee has to complete a daily forklift inspection reportwith previous management authorization retrieve product from raw room using fifo (first in first out) to keep appropriate product rotation.education and/or work experience
high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience of work in a similar environment preferred. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with fast-changing priorities and keep up with workflow. Work in a team effort environment. Able to follow simple instructions.
