Job Type: Temporary | 72 hours every two weeks – Days shift
Pay: Hourly – Min $20.95, Mid $26.19, Max $31.43

- Adhere to workflows and patient care tasks outlined by training and orientation.
- Accept delegation from nurses to provide care within scope of practice.
- Conduct effective handoff between care team members, including communicating patient care plan with the nurse each shift.
- Contribute to admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Maintain compassionate care addressing physical and emotional well‑being, communicating clearly verbally, non‑verbally, and in writing.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL’s) – hygiene, pressure injury prevention, safe mobility.
- Transport patient specimens safely, document accurately and timely in the Medical Record, and report any concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain department operations through dependability, workplace cleanliness, supply management, and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain professional responsibilities related to education, training, and accountability through department communication methods.
- May perform unit secretarial duties, responding to incoming calls, supporting interdepartmental communication, and notifying of codes (e.g., Code White, Code Neuro).
- Specific to inpatient locations: perform purposeful rounding, educate patients on call light use, and respond to call lights promptly.
- Specific to Women’s and Children’s units: handle registration, certification, patient admission, insurance authorization, electronic birth records, paternity testing, and recording fetal death.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.
- Essential Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association;
Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA). - Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Desired:
Prior experience in patient care assistance or related healthcare setting. - Proficiency in communication, teamwork, and safety protocols.
