Pharmacist|Main Hospital​/Nights

Overview

The Pharmacist ensures the safe and effective use of medications through order verification; assessment of medication selection, dosing regimen, and administration; provide drug information and education; drug therapy monitoring services; and drug procurement ks closely with medical providers and nursing staff to ensure optimal care. Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance department operations or service outcomes.

• Ensures the safe and effective use of medications through order verification, assessment of medication selection, dosing regimen, and administration; provides drug information and education; drug therapy monitoring services; and drug procurement at YRMC.
• Works closely with medical providers and nursing staff to ensure optimal care.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance department operations or service outcomes.
• Evaluates medication drug therapies.
• Answers questions about drug information.
• Supervises technician activities and medication management processes.
• Precepts pharmacy students and helps precept and oversee pharmacy residents.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Essential: PHARMACIST
• YRMC FLEET SAFETY CLEARANCE (FLEET)

• Essential: BACHELOR'S DEGREE

Other information:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy plus five years' experience or Doctor of Pharmacy;
Pharmacist License;
Fleet Safety.
